KYC (Know Your Customer)

As a Wallets Africa user, you are allowed to transact with your account once you provide all the necessary information. This information includes your phone number, email address, a selfie and your BVN. You also have to provide a valid means of identification which may either be your voter’s card, your driver’s license, your international passport or your National Identity document. If you’re a business user, you’ll be required to provide one of these documents belonging to the director of the business and/or your CAC document. Upgrading your account allows you to have a higher transaction limit and access other interesting features of the app.

There are three types of limits that can be placed on your account.

The daily limit: is the maximum amount of money you can spend with your wallet in a day.

The monthly limit: is the maximum amount of money you can spend with your wallet in a month.

The daily airtime limit: is the maximum amount of airtime you can purchase using your wallet in a day.
